India Glycols Ltd (IGL), Kashipur, has been conferred with the BIRAC Innovator Award for the year 2016. IGL bagged the award, instituted by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council’s (BIRAC), for the best innovation in Industrial Biotechnology (Technology Development).
The award was received by IGL CMD from Prof K Vijya Raghavan, Secretary, DBT, and Chairman, BIRAC, at the at the 5th BIRAC Innovators Meet held on September 22 in New Delhi.
The award recognizes the high-level of innovation shown by IGL team for the validation of technology to produce 3000 litres of ethanol per day.
