Kashipur, March 4, 2017: India Glycols Ltd and Transport Corporation of India Ltd have jointly organised the 4th Road Safety Event and health camp on 4th of March 2017 at India Glycols campus, Kashipur.
The focus of the event was on Road Safety and to promote general safety practices. The event saw a participation of over 350 people. It was graced by various Govt. officials, industry leaders and over 50 transporters from various places with different fleet category owning over 5000 vehicles, along with their 150 drivers associated with India Glycols Limited.
The best drivers were recognized by felicitating them with smart mobile phones. On this occasion a safety booklet “Sureksha Sandesh” was released by Mr. Chandresh Kumar, DM Udham Singh Nagar.
Health camps & games were organized simultaneously by TCI Foundation (A division of TCI Group) with the event. Activities like health checkup, health games - slogan writing, panjja ladaoo, bucket uttaoo, IPC and health quiz were conducted in order to give safety and health message in a simplified manner.
The event focused on raising awareness about issues related to road safety. Primary objective of this event was to focus on road safety and to acknowledge the contribution made by every transporter in our growth. Multiple measures have taken by our company in this regard, such as construction of a first class 20 bedded retiring room for the drivers to rest after an arduous journey and construction of a driver’s training room to polish their driving skills and also learn about various handling and safety regulations. Our company truly believes in “Safety First” and has been in the forefront in adopting the best safety practices in the Industry.
