India Glycol has recently established a state-of-the-art
plant at Kashipur (Uttarakhand) to produce gas suitable for
sterilisation of disposable surgical and medical devices,
spices and packaging materials like rubber, plastics, etc.
India Glycol has its own facilities for manufacturing Ethylene
oxide (ETO) from a green source and Liquid Carbon-dioxide
at Kashipur plant with storage capacity of 93MT for ETO and
300 MT for CO2. With these facilities, we have a distinct
edge and a reliable supplier for all EO + CO2 mixtures in
cylinders for sterilisation.
Applications:
ETO is the actual sterilising agent and carbon-dioxide is
used as a carrier propellant in place of Freon or Dichlorodifluoromethane
(CFC – 12), which is a class-I ozone depleting substance
and thus harmful to the environment.
